• Conference Programme

We are pleased to inform you that preparations for the 5th International Conference on Advance Model Measurements Technologies for The Maritime Industry (AMT’17) are underway. We welcome you here in Glasgow at our conference venue, Technology and Innovation Centre (TIC) of Strathclyde University, during 11-13 October 2017.

In AMT’17 Conference more than 55 high quality technical papers will be presented by leading experts and researchers. These technical presentations will run two and a half days in two parallel sessions. Here finds the first draft of conference programme.

In complementing the technical sessions, at the end of the first day, there will be a Knowledge Exchange event over a cocktail to be organised by the Ocean-Air-Space Strategic Theme of Strathclyde University. This will provide an opportunity to bring together major maritime stakeholders of the UK with the AMT’17 participants to exchange knowledge in the subject field.

The second day of the conference will end with a civic welcome reception to be given by the Lord (Mayor) Provost in the historic City Chambers of Glasgow. The reception will be followed by an exceptional piano recital from a world-renown artist the world-renown pianist, Gulsin Onay, This will continue with the conference banquet which will be complemented by the famous Scottish Ceilidh event!


The afternoon of the third and last day of AMT’17 will include a visit to the World’s first commercial ship model basin, the Denny Tank, which is a part of the Scottish Maritime Museum in Dumbarton. This will be followed by the popular whisky testing event at one of the world famous whisky distilleries, local Glengoyne distillery.

  • Registration

The registration for the conference is now open and can be made through on-line at registration link Those who cannot register on-line please contact to Conference secretariat at to register other means. Please note that the deadline for Early Birds is 1st of September 2017. HTF members and students will benefit from reduced fees.

We can provide small exhibition stands at the conference reception hall for companies, who are interested in displaying their product, at hiring fees specified in the registry menu. If you have further enquiry on this please contact to conference secretariat at

  • Travel

Glasgow is the 4th largest city in UK and has excellent transportation links whether you are going by air, road or rail. It is also near to Scotland’s capital city Edinburgh within 1 hr bus drive. There are good flight connections to the airports of both cities while there are also frequent bus services between the Edinburgh Airport and Glasgow City Centre if your flight is more convenient to the Edinburgh airport.
